IMMACULATA, Pa.- In the third game of its season-long, six-game homestand, the Immaculata University women's soccer team took the field this afternoon against an explosive Widener uNiversity side that had outscored its opponents 7-1 in the first two games of the season. This afternoon, Immaculata became just the second team to score on the pride all season long, putting an end to an impressive shutout streak when
Kelli Dombroski continued her hot streak with a goal late in the second half, which tied the game at 1-1. Unfortunately, Widener answered back moments later with a goal of its own, which lifted the Pride to a 2-1 victory over the Mighty Macs.
How it Happened:
- In the first half, Widener opened the scoring with a goal in the 18th minute, which gave the Pride an early 1-0 lead heading to the halftime break.
- In the second half, Kelli Dombroski used a beautiful cross from Carly Quigley to even the score at 1-1 in the 72nd minute.
- In the 80th minute, Widener used a strong cross into the middle of the box to setup a rocket into the back of the net, which gave the Widener the 2-1 lead that they would never relinquish.
- Maddy Terry got the start in goal and played the first half making three saves and surrendering one goal before exiting at the half in favor of Brooke Shissler. Shissler finished the game in goal making three big saves of her own while also surrendering one goal in the setback.

- Widener outshot Immaculata by a slim 9-6 margin including an 8-5 advantage in shots on goal.
