IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata University women's soccer team squared off against DeSales on Thursday evening looking to jump back into the win column. Unfortunately, a late first half push by DeSales proved to be too much for Immaculata as the Macs would fall by a final score of 3-2.
How it Happened:
- Immaculata opened up the scoring with a goal in the 16th minute off the foot of Miranda Rojas to claim an early 1-0 lead.
- DeSales answered back with three unanswered goals including a pair of goals before the halftime break to claim a commanding 3-1 lead.
- Immaculata answered back with another goal during the 53rd minute that was credited as an own goal for DeSales to trim the deficit to just one making the score 3-2 in favor of the Bulldogs.
- Brooke Shissler worked hard in goal making nine saves between the pipes to try and limit the ever dangerous DeSales offensive attack.
- DeSales ended the game with a 16-7 edge in shots including a 12-5 advantage in shots on goal.
