IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata University women's soccer team was back in action on Saturday afternoon opposite another non-conference foe in Lycoming. Immaculata scored the first goal of the contest but a three-goal run by the Warriors gave the visitors a commanding 3-1 halftime lead, which was enough to carry the Warriors to a 5-2 victory over the Mighty Macs.
How it Happened:
- In the 7th minute, Julia Schumacher scored the first goal of the contest off an assist from Kelli Dombroski to give the Macs an early 1-0 lead.
- Unfortunately, this lead was short-lived as Lycoming answered back with three goals of its own including a pair of goals in the 29th minute to grab a 3-1 lead heading to the halftime break.
- In the second half, Lycoming opened the scoring wiuth a goal in the 57th minute to extend its lead to 4-1 before Dombroski answered back with a goal of her own off an assist from Riley Rudd moments later to make the score 4-2 still in favor of the Warriors.
- Lycoming added one more goal in the closing minutes of regulation, which increased the Warriors lead to 5-2.
Inside the Box Score:
- At the end of regulation, Lycoming held a slight 16-14 edge in shots and an 11-9 advantage in shots on target.
- Lycoming also held a narrow 3-2 advantage in corners.
- Maddy Terry had a busy afternoon between the pipes for Immaculata as she made six big saves to keep the Macs in the game throughout.

Immaculata will now embark on a six-game road trip beginning with a road contest at Albright on Monday night to open the trip before closing out the month of September on the road at Delaware Valley on Wednesday evening beginning at 7 p.m.
