IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata University women's volleyball team (4-4) was back in action on Tuesday evening looking to snap a three-game losing streak opposite the Rosemont College Ravens (1-7). Immaculata dropped the opening set before roaring back to make short work of the next three sets in the 3-1 victory over Rosemont.
With this evening's victory, the Macs remain a perfect 11-0 vs the Ravens in the last 11 meetings between the two sides.
How it Happened:
- In the first set, Rosemont went on an early run to claim a lead that it would never fully relinquish. Immaculata worked to battle back throughout the opening set but ultimately the early advantage Rosemont had built up proved to be enough for the Ravens to hold on for the first set victory by a final of 25-18.
- In the second set, Rosemont opened the set on a small run before Immaculata went on a 19-3 run to claim a commanding 20-7 lead late in the set. This impressive run enabled Immaculata to close out the second set with a relative ease by a final of 25-10, thus, evening the match at 1-1.
- In the third and fourth set, Immaculata was in control throughout as the Mighty Macs opened the sets with solid runs and never truly looked back en route to a 25-14 third set victory, and a 25-8 fourth set victory.
Inside the Box Score:
- Isabelle Davis ended the evening with a match-high 12 kills while Natalie Dependahl ended her night with a match-high seven aces.
- Megan Daugherty had a solid night as well as the freshman registered 24 assists to lead the match in this category as well.
- McKenna Ryan continued her impressive freshman campaign with 16 digs, which was also a match-high.
- As a team, Immaculata hit .140 on the evening led by a second set that saw the Macs hit .182 as a team while holding Rosemont to a hitting percentage of just 0.14.

This is the only game on the schedule for the Macs this week as they are not slated to return to the court until Thursday, September 26 when Washington College visits Alumnae Hall for the final game of the home stand beginning at 6 p.m.
