IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata University women's soccer team was back in action on Thursday afternoon to in the final week of its season-long, six-game home stand to open the season. The second half proved to be the difference maker in what a closely contested match throughout as Penn State pulled ahead to win by a final of 3-1.

How it Happened:
- In the first half, Immaculata applied consistent pressure, which resulted in a solid 9-2 advantage in shots at the halftime break. Unfortunately, none of these shots found their mark as the game went to the halftime break even at 0-0.
- In the 52nd minute, Penn State Harrisburg converted a corner into a goal off a header in the box, which gave the Nittany Lions the lead and the first score of the game.
- Immaculata answered back just 10 minutes later with a goal of its own as Julia Schumacher finished a great cross from Riley Rudd to even the score at 1-1 with just under 30 minutes to play in regulation.
- Penn State added two more goals during the second half of play to claim the 3-1 victory.
- Maddy Terry worked hard between the pipes making four big saves to limit the Penn State offense in the setback.
Inside the Box Score:
- Immaculata ended the game with a 17-13 advantage in total shots, however, Penn State ultimately won the shots on goal battle by a margin of 7-6.
- At the end of the match, corner kicks were also even at eight aside after two closely contested halves in which neither side held a clear advantage.
