HOW IT HAPPENED
-In the first set, the Mighty Macs hung in early in the set, trailing 7-4 in the early going until the Pride went on a 4-0 spurt to make it 11-4. The Macs claimed two of the next seven points and trailed 16-6. IU trailed late in the set and freshman
Bryce Wiltbank had back-to-back kills, but it wasn't enough in a 25-12 loss
-IU jumped out in the second set with three of the first four points, including another kill by Wiltbank. The Macs continued to lead at 6-5 and 7-6 before the Pride tied it up at 8-8, and then went on a 9-2 spurt to put Widener on top 17-10. The Macs would score four points the rest of the way in a 25-14 defeat
-Again, the third set was tight in the early going with the Macs facing three two-point deficits in the middle of it, the last of them at 12-10 after a kill by freshman
Garrett Pepper. Trailing 14-11, the Macs struggled to keep pace as Widener closed out IU, 25-14
