IMMACULATA, Pa. - The Immaculata University men's volleyball team was unable to contain the third-ranked Kean Cougars Friday night in Alumnae Hall, falling straight sets in the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) matchup.
Garrett Pepper recorded a team-high six kills and
Bryce Wiltbank had two blocks in the effort to add to his team-leading total.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Kean built up a a comfortable first set lead to begin the night despite kills from Pepper and
Donte Ramos, as the Cougars took the first set 25-8.
-The Cougars went on a formidable run to begin the second set to take a commanding lead and despite taking seven of the last 12 points, the Macs fell 25-7.
-The Macs were able to draw even with Kean in the early stages of the third set on a pair of Wiltbank kills, but a 14-1 Kean run resulted in a 25-8 set win for the Cougars to take the match in straight sets.
