IMMACULATA, Pa.-After defeating Bryn Athyn in convincing fashion to conclude non-league play a week ago, the Immaculata University men's soccer team returned home on Wednesday afternoon to host Marymount in its Atlantic East Conference opener. Josh Fonder as he continues his breakout season.
How it Happened:
- The Mighty Macs started off the evening with a goal from Fonder in the eighth minute to give the Macs an early 1-0 lead.
- In the 20th minute, Zachary Malcolm added to the Macs lead with of a goal of his own to put the Macs ahead 2-0 heading into the halftime break.
- In the 51st minute in the second half, Josh Fonder scored yet again to increase the Mighty Macs lead to 3-0.
- Junior goalie Mikey Kalpokas had a great day in goal as he made 7 saves en route to the shutout. This shutout increases Kalpokas' shut out count to 11 of his career, which ties him with Joe Lubonski in most career shutouts in program history.
