IMMACULATA, Pa.- Looking to continue its perfect start to the month of October, the Immaculata University men's soccer team returned to action on Saturday afternoon at home against crosstown rival Cabrini. Immaculata battled throughout but unfortunately Cabrini prevailed winning by a final of 3-1.
How it Happened:
- In the 19th minute, Cabrini opened the scoring before Josh Fonder evened the score on a penalty kick less than 10 minutes later to draw the score back even at 1-1.
- In the 29th minute, Cabrini was able to respond as the Cavs scored on a free kick from just shy of midfield to claim a 2-1 lead that they would never relinquish.
- In the second half, Cabrini added one more tally on a PK in the 72nd minute to put the game out of reach making the score 3-1 in favor of the visitors.
- Mikey Kalpokas worked hard in goal making five big saves to slow down the Cabrini offense throughout the afternoon.
Inside the Box Score:
- Cabrini ended the contest with a 12-8 edge in shots along with an 8-3 advantage in shots on goal.
- Cabrini also ended the game with a 10-4 edge in corners.

Immaculata will be back in action next Saturday afternoon at Wesley with that game set to begin at 1 p.m.
