READING, Pa.- The Immaculata University women's volleyball team took to the road on Saturday morning looking to halt a losing streak vs the Albright College Lions. Despite battling throughout, Albright proved to be too much for Immaculata on Saturday afternoon emerging victorious by a final of 3-2 over the Macs.
How it Happened:
- In the first set, Immaculata raced out to an early lead that it would never relinquish en route to a 25-22 opening set victory.
- Unfortunately, Albright answered back with a pair of victories of its own capturing the second and third sets (25-21, 25-20) to claim a 2-1 lead heading into the fourth set. In the fourth set, Albright held a late lead, however, the Mighty Macs were able to storm back to capture the fourth 26-24 to force a decisive fifth set.
- In the fifth set, Albright jumped out to an early lead and used this early advantage to earn a 15-9 fifth set victory over Immaculata to win by a 3-2 final.
Inside the Box Score:
- Natalie Dependahl led the way for the Macs in kills with 16 on the afternoon while Megan Daugherty recorded 25 assists in the setback.
- McKenna Ryan had a strong performance for the Macs as well ending the match with 26 digs to lead the Macs in this category.
