SCRANTON, Pa. –The Immaculata University field hockey team took to the road on Wednesday evening for an Atlantic East clash opposite Marywood with major playoff implications. Marywood scored a goal early in the first quarter and used this early tally to earn a 3-0 victory over the Mighty Macs.
How it Happened:
- Marywood opened the scoring just over two minutes into the contest to claim an early 1-0 lead before extending its lead in the 31st minute to claim a 2-0 advantage.
- The Pacers added one more goal during the 34th minute, which gave the hosts a commanding 3-0 lead that they would go on to win by.
Inside the Box Score:
- Marywood ended the contest with a 26-13 edge in shots and an 18-7 edge in shots on goal. The Pacers also ended the game with an 11-5 edge in penalty corners.
- Randie Kuhar worked hard in goal making 14 big saves while her counterpart made seven nice saves of her own in the shutout victory.

Immaculata will now turn its attention to the Atlantic East Tournament, which will begin on the road on Saturday afternoon. The Mighty Macs will have to wait to learn their opponent until the conclusion of other games this evening.
