Field Hockey Clipped by Lebanon Valley

IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata University field hockey team returned home on Wednesday evening to host Lebanon Valley College in a final non-conference tuneup before beginning conference play next week. Lebanon Valley raced out to an early first half lead, which carried the Dutchmen to a 5-1 victory over the Macs on Wednesday evening.

How it Happened:
  • In the first quarter, Lebanon Valley scored a pair of goals in the opening five minutes of regulation to claim an early 2-0 lead heading to the second quarter of play.
  • In the second quarter, Lebanon Valley added another two goals before Immaculata answered back with a goal from Maddy Edwards off an assist from Colleen Bradley following a penalty corner to make the score 4-1 heading to the halftime break.
  • During the third quarter, defense was the story as each side had its chances but neither team was able to capitalize due to stellar defense played by both sides, thus, sending the game to the fourth with the score locked at 4-1 in favor of the visiting Dutchmen.
  • In the fourth quarter, Lebanon Valley opened the scoring just over five minutes into the final stanza to give the visitors a commanding 5-1 lead, which they would go on to win by.
Inside the Box Score:
