IMMACULATA, Pa.- For the first time in nearly a month, the Immaculata University women's soccer team returned home to host an Atlantic East Conference foe in the Wesley Wolverines. Despite leading for much of the contest, Wesley scored a pair of goals late in the second half to hand Immaculata a tough 2-1 setback on Saturday afternoon.
How it Happened:
- Carly Quigley opened the scoring for the Macs in the 12th minute thanks to a rocket of a free kick that gave Immaculata a slim 1-0 lead heading to the halftime break.
- In the second half, Wesley scored the equalizer in the 67th minute off a free kick of its own before converting a great pass across the box in the 89th minute, which gave the Wolverines the 2-1 comeback victory.
Inside the Box Score:
- Immaculata ended the contest with a narrow 20-16 edge in shots, however, the Macs were outshot 11-10 in shots on goal.
- Each team ended the contest with four corner kicks.
- Despite registering nine big saves, Brooke Shissler saw her impressive 359 minute scoreless streak come to a close in the setback this afternoon.
