DALLAS, Pa.- The Immaculata University field hockey team took a step outside of Atlantic East play this evening to battle in a road matchup at Misericordia. In what was a low-scoring affair throughout, it was a goal just minutes into overtime that proved to be the difference maker as Misericordia slipped past Immaculata by a final of 1-0.

How it happened:
    •    Immaculata and Misericordia both had opportunities to score throughout the first two quarters of play but each defense proved to be up to the task, thus, sending the game to the halftime break even at 0-0.
    •    In the third quarter, the defensive battle continued as the game remained scoreless for 15 more minutes to send the game into the fourth quarter locked at 0-0.
    •    After a scoreless fourth quarter of play, the game went into overtime where Misericordia scored the game-winner just under three minutes in to earn a narrow 1-0 victory over Immaculata.
    •    Despite the setback, Randie Kuhar worked hard in goal making six big saves to slow down the Cougars offense throughout the evening.

Inside the Box Score:
    •    Misericordia ended the contest with a narrow 6-5 edge in shots and a 5-1 lead in shots on goal.
    •    Immaculata ended the contest with a 7-4 edge in penalty corners.
