ASTON, Pa.- Looking to get back on track following a hard fought loss on Wednesday evening, the Immaculata women's volleyball team traveled to Neumann in search of a victory. Unfortunately, despite battling throughout the match, Neumann prevailed by a final of 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.
How it Happened:
- In the opening set, Immaculata and Neumann traded runs throughout but it was a late surge by the Knights that gave the hosts the first set victory by a 25-23 final.
- In the second set, Immaculata claimed an early lead before a pair of mid-set runs by Neumann lifted the Knights to a 25-14 second set victory and a 2-0 lead in the match .
- The third and final set was similar to the first two as the Macs claimed an early lead before the Knights answered back with a solid run of their own to claim the 25-18 third set victory and win the match .
Inside the Box Score:
- Aly Lowe ended the match with a team-high six kills while Megan Daugherty led the way in assists with 17 helpers in the setback.
- Daugherty also ended the contest with a team-high nine digs to fall just one dig shy of a double-double.
