MAHWAH, N.J.- The Immaculata field hockey team (1-9) showed a strong offensive performance on Saturday afternoon at Ramapo (3-5) as they looked to jumpstart their season, but the Roadrunners put together a decisive three goal stretch in the second half that was the difference in a 6-3 loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The game went scoreless for much of the first half as the teams were unable to convert their opportunities, but Ramapo got on the board first with a goal in the 22
nd minute to take the lead
-The Mighty Macs responded in the 30
th minute as Burkholder scored her third of the year on an assist from Kennedy to even the game
-Ramapo went ahead less than a minute later and took the 2-1 lead to halftime
-The roadrunners extended the lead early in the second half, but Kennedy cut into it in the 42
nd minute on an assist from
Brittany Richards to make it 3-2
-Ramapo then went on their decisive run where they scored three goals in the span of 15 minutes to take a commanding 6-2 lead
-Lozier scored on an assist from freshman
Macy Green to bring it to the final of 6-3
