SCOTT TOWNSHIP, Pa.- The Mighty Mac men's soccer team (1-1) bounced back from their opening night overtime loss with a big 1-0 double overtime road victory over Misericordia (0-1) on Sunday afternoon.

Alex Noel provided the game winner on a penalty kick goal in the 105
th minute and sophomore
Mikey Kalpokas stopped all eight shots on frame in the shutout victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The first half was scoreless, but Misericordia possessed and applied the pressure with nine shots to two for IU and five corners to none for the Mighty Macs
-Kalpokas made two saves in the first half and four more in the second half to keep his clean sheet
-In the second half, IU had five shots and three corners as they increased the pressure, but the Cougars still controlled much of the second half
-Neither team had a threat on frame in the first overtime period, and in the second one, the Mighty Macs converted
-Senior
Mohamed Kamara drew a foul in the box and Noel converted for IU, giving them their first win of the season and head coach
Jamie Scott the first victory of his career
