DOYLESTOWN, Pa.- The Immaculata field hockey team (1-7) put together a strong performance on Tuesday afternoon at Delaware Valley (4-1) as they looked to snap their losing skid, but the Macs were unable to take advantage of some quality opportunities and fell to the Aggies, 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-In the first half, the Mighty Macs produced far more opportunities with 10 shots to just four for Del Val, and five penalty corners to one, but the Aggies scored the lone goal of the period in the 19
th minute
-Early in the second half, the Aggies added to their lead, forcing the Mighty Macs to increase the offensive pressure
-The Mighty Macs finally broke through in the 61
st minute as Thompson got possession on a scrum in front off a penalty corner, and deposited one of the 14 second half shots for the Macs into the back of the net to cut the lead in half
-However, the Aggies got the back breaker with just under four minutes left, as they added to their lead and got to the final of 3-1
