IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata field hockey team (1-0) opened their season in dominating fashion as they had five different goal scorers in a 5-1 triumph over Bryn Athyn (0-1) on a rainy afternoon at Draper Walsh Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Mighty Macs wasted little time taking control of this one as they score three goals in just under 12 minutes over a period of the first half
-Richards received a centering pass from sophomore
Willa Thompson in the seventh minute and found the back of the net for the first Mighty Mac tally of the season
-Just over two minutes later, it was Kennedy on a pass from senior
Jackie Wood after a penalty corner that made it 2-0, before Bradley made it 3-0 as she collected her own rebound
-The Mighty Macs dominated the first half with 12 shots to just one for the Lions and they held the 3-0 lead as sophomore
Randie Kuhar had a clean first half in the cage
-They extended their lead with a beautiful give and go play on a penalty corner in the 38
th minute as Burkholder fed the corner in to Bradley, who hit it right back to Burkholder for the deflection into the cage
-Sophomore
Jackie Victor played the second half in the cage and allowed a goal to break the shutout, but Thompson scored on an assist by freshman
Macy Green to polish off the scoring in the 66
th minute
TEAM COMPARISON
-The Macs outshot the Lions, 22-3, and had 12 penalty corners to just three for Bryn Athyn
-Kuhar made the lone save for the Mighty Macs in the contest while Bryn Athyn had 13
