ASTON, Pa.- The Mighty Mac men's lacrosse team went to Neumann (3-10, 2-3 CSAC) in need of a victory to improve their chances of qualifying for the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) postseason on Wednesday afternoon, but after trailing by two at the half, the Macs were outscored 9-2 after the break and fell, 14-5 to the Knights. The Macs (4-10, 2-3 CSAC) will now likely need wins in their final two contests against Centenary and at Cabrini to make the playoffs.

Brian Shultis scored twice while freshman Steven Long and seniors
Mike Reardon and
Kyle Roche each scored once. Shultis now holds the single season record for points with 63 with 37 goals and 26 assists this season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Neumann scored the opening two goals of the game in the first five minutes, but the Macs cut the deficit in half with a goal by Long with 4:14 to go in the first and it stayed 2-1 through the end of the first period
-Roche then tied the game 1:29 into the second quarter, but Neumann scored three straight over the 13 minutes to take a 5-2 advantage
-Reardon cut it to two goals with 47 seconds left in the half to make it 5-3 going to the break
-The two teams traded goals in the opening 5:19 with Shultis scoring from Fisher to keep it at a two-goal game, 6-4
-Neumann then took control with six straight goals until Shultis scored his second of the game with 7:19 left in the game, but Neumann led 12-5
-They scored twice more to close out the 14-5 win for Neumann
