IMMACULATA, Pa. - The Immaculata University men's lacrosse team could not overcome eight first-half goals from Ohio Northern (4-1) Tuesday morning at Draper Walsh Stadium, ultimately falling to the Polar Bears, 14-3.
Brian Shultis,
Christian Fisher and
Mike Reardon all had goals on the day for the Macs.
The loss drops Immaculata to 1-4 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Ohio Northern jumped out to a quick three-goal lead in the first five minutes, before
Brian Shultis found the back of the net with two second left in the opening period to cut the deficit to two.
-The Macs struggled to put together anything offensively in the second quarter, going scoreless over the next 15 minutes while the Polar Bears struck five more times, including two tallies from Max Weese.
-ONU tacked on three more goals in the third to stretch its lead out to double digits, and tallies from Fisher and Reardon in the fourth could not carry enough momentum to spark a late comeback.

Denton States was tough in goal all day, recording a game-high nine saves on 21 shots faced.
TEAM COMPARISON
-Ohio Northern outshot the Macs on the day, 59-13. ONU also held a 25-9 advantage in shots on goal.
-ONU caused 15 turnovers while only committing 12.
-The Macs were 13-of-17 on clears, including a perfect 4-for-4 in the third quarter.
-The Polar Bears held the edge in ground balls, 37-13.
