HAVERFORD, Pa.- The Mighty Mac women's basketball team travelled to Haverford (1-0) for a non-league matchup on Monday night looking to bounce back from a season opening loss, but the Macs were undone by a tough second quarter in a 58-36 loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Fords took a 7-2 lead out of the gates, but sophomore
Theresa Kearney knocked down a triple to cut it to 7-5
-Another three by sophomore
Brielle Rigo pulled the Macs within one at 9-8 and a Rigo lay up put IU in front 10-9, but Haverford scored the last six in the first quarter and led 15-10
-Haverford took control of the contest when they held a 21-15 lead, they scored 11 of the next 13 with the Macs just getting a bucket by senior
Amber Ballinger and the Macs trailed 32-17 at the break
-The Macs surrendered the first seven points of the first half before freshman
Meghan Ricker hit a three pointer to halt the run, but the Macs trailed 39-20
-IU got within 15 on a jumper by Kearney midway through the fourth but they ran out of time in the contest

-IU knocked down 13-of-47 (27.7%) from the field while the Fords were 21-for-52 (40.4%)
-The Macs hit 5-of-20 three-pointers and Haverford was 4-for-16, both shooting 25%
-IU was 5-of-6 (83.3%) from the line and Haverford was 12-for-20 (60%)
