CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Immaculata University field hockey team wrapped up its regular season slate at DeSales Saturday afternoon, dropping the non-conference bout to the Bulldogs, 8-1. Freshman
Macy Green scored her first career goal to open the scoring, but the Bulldogs answered with eight unanswered tallies to down the Macs.
The sixth-seeded Mighty Macs now turn their attention to their Atlantic East Conference Tournament quarterfinal matchup at third seed Marywood Monday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Green opened the scoring Saturday afternoon with her first career goal in the fifth minute of the game after
Hilary Burkholder's shot rebounded off the goalie to Green's stick. With the score, Green now ranks fifth on the Macs in points with six in her rookie campaign.
-DeSales responded with four-straight scores to end the half take a three-goal lead into the break.
-The Bulldogs then padded their lead with four more goals in the second half to come away with the 8-1 victory.
