IMMACULATA, Pa. - The Immaculata University women's soccer team was stymied by a 20th minute goal from visiting Goucher Tuesday afternoon at Draper Walsh Stadium as the Mighty Macs were topped in the non-conference bout, 1-0. Tuesday's match served as the final non-conference game before the Macs jump into Atlantic East Conference play Saturday at Marywood.

Freshman keeper Brooke Shissler made four saves in a tough-luck loss in net.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Mighty Macs and Gophers were locked into an evenly played match from the onset Tuesday afternoon, as the two sides held possessions primarily in the middle third for the first 45 minutes.
-In the 20th minute, the Mighty Mac back line was unable to clear a loose ball out of the box, resulting in the eventual game-winning goal from Goucher as the ball was eventually flicked over the head of Shissler in net.
-Riley Rudd and Carrie Quigley each had direct kick opportunities with a chance to tie the game from just outside the 18, but Quigley's was saved and Rudd's soared just outside the near post.

TEAM COMPARISON
-Goucher held the advantage in shots, 10-8, but the two sides were even in shots on goal with five apiece.
-The Gophers were awarded five corners opposite the Macs' two.
