Late Goal Deals IU First Atlantic East Loss

IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata men's soccer team (8-7-1, 3-1) saw their four game winning streak come to an end on Wednesday night at Draper Walsh Stadium as the Wesley College Wolverines (11-3-1, 3-1-1) scored a late second half goal that was the difference in a 1-0 game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Mighty Macs had a great chance early as sophomore Kevin Hegarty sent a long pass ahead to freshman Zachary Malcolm who hit a shot just wide to keep it scoreless
-The Wolverines had a couple chances on a corner that were thwarted by the defense, and Malcolm again pressed for the first goal of the game put hit the post and it went to half scoreless
-Freshman Omar Ba had the best chance early in the second half for IU, but he was unable to touch it past the goalie
-The Mac defense then held very well against a stiff attack, but the Wolverines punched one through with 2:28 to go in the game as they flicked a shot over the head of sophomore goalie Mikey Kalpokas from 12 yards out and that was the difference
