GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa.- The Mighty Mac men's soccer team (8-6-1, 3-0) continued their string of great play as they claimed their fourth straight victory and third straight to start Atlantic East play, with a 2-1 overtime victory over Gwynedd Mercy (0-13-1, 0-3-1).

For the second time this morning, it was sophomore Chad Catlana with the heroics as he scored the overtime game winner for IU.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The first half was a battle for possession, with neither team holding any significant advantage, but it was the Mighty Macs who struck late in the first half as sophomore
Carl Vicere scored the first goal of his career in the 39
th minute to put the Macs up heading to the locker room
-That lead did not stand for long into the second half as the Griffins tied it in the 57
th minute
-Throughout the rest of the second half, the Mighty Macs generated some great opportunities and twice were denied by the post on shots by freshman
Zachary Malcolm and junior
Nick Boule, and the game went to overtime knotted at 1-1
-In the extra session, the Mighty Macs wasted no time as Catalana scored his second overtime game winner of the season to lift the Macs to victory just 29 seconds in.
