IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Mighty Mac field hockey team hosted Marywood in Atlantic East action play on a warm Wednesday afternoon at Draper Walsh Stadium, and the Pacers (8-4, 1-1) scored a goal in each half while the Mighty Macs (1-15, 0-3) were unable to keep pace in a 2-0 loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Mighty Macs were forcing the action early, highlighted by a pair of close in attempts by sophomore
Willa Thompson, but the Marywood defense held
-The Pacers got on the board off a deflection from a penalty corner in the 14
th minute and the score would hold at 1-0 into halftime
-The Pacers added to their lead in the second half as another penalty corner resulted in a goal, this one on a rebound and IU faced a 2-0 deficit
-The Macs countered as Burkholder had a good attempt with the goalie drawn out of the net, but the shot was deflected away as the Macs fell by two
