BALTIMORE, Md. - The Immaculata women's basketball team had four women reach double-figure scoring Saturday afternoon, but it was not enough to overcome a strong second half from the hosts, falling 66-60. Theresa Kearney led the quartet of Macs in double-figures with 17.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Annie Kohutka, Amber Ballinger and Natalie Ayoub all connected on their first shots of the game to give the Macs an early lead on the road.
-Notre Dame fought back to grab a one-point lead at the four-minute mark of the first quarter, and ended the opening frame with a three-point advantage.
-In the second quarter, the Macs ripped off a 9-0 run beginning at the 2:33 mark, capped off by a Kohutka three-ball to lift IU to a one-point lead at 25-24. The Macs would go into the half with that same one-point advantage, 27-26.
-Ballinger's three-pointer to open the scoring in the second half sparked a 7-2 run to stretch the IU lead to to six, and Kearney's trey at the 4:51 mark of the third quarter brought the lead up to a game-high eight.
-However, Notre Dame would go on to end the quarter on a 16-4 run, taking a five-point lead in the process.
-Although Notre Dame extended its lead to as much as eight in the final quarter, a Kohutka three and a pair of free throws shrunk the deficit to two with just over two minutes to play. However, turnovers would doom the Macs down the stretch as they fell by a final of 66-60.

KEY TEAM STATS
-The Macs shot 21-of-56 (37.5%) from the field, opposite Notre Dame's 25-of-58 (43.1%) day.
-IU was just 4-of-17 (23.5%) from beyond the arc.
-Immaculata shot 14-of-21 (66.7%) from the free throw line; Kearney sank eight of her nine opportunities.
-Notre Dame narrowly won the battle on the boards, 35-33.
-The Macs caused 18 turnovers and scored 17 points off of them.
