IMMACULATA, Pa.- The IU field hockey team (2-9) had one final non-conference tune up before opening Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play this week as they hosted Ramapo (5-5) on Saturday afternoon at Draper Walsh Stadium, and the Roadrunners scored two late second half goals which proved to be the difference in a 3-1 IU loss.

Brittany Richards scored the first goal of her IU career in the loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Ramapo controlled the pace of play in the first half as they developed several chances off penalty corners early, but freshman goalie
Randie Kuhar played well and senior
Cayla Williams had two first half defensive saves
-The Roadrunners did get on the board in the first half as they netted a 28
th minute goal to take a 1-0 lead into the half
-The Macs responded in the 41
st minute as Richards took a pass on the far post from senior
Megan Donegan off a penalty corner, and she deposited it into the net to tie the game
-The score would hold there despite several great chance from the Macs until Ramapo got a goal off a penalty corner from Lauren Perry to take the 2-1 advantage
-Ramapo put the game out of reach in the 65
th minute with an insurance goal to get to the final of 3-1

-The Macs outshot Ramapo, 14-12, including 11-5 in the second half, and each side had 10 corners
-Goals: Richards 1 (1)
