IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata field hockey team hosted Goucher (3-5) in their second of three straight home games, and the Macs (2-8) battled, but were unable to overcome a four-goal stretch by the Gophers in the first half and fell, 5-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Mighty Mac cage was under pressure early in the game, but the Macs got free and took advantage of the counter attack as Donegan found Kennedy in the middle and she found the back of the net for her fifth goal of the season and a 1-0 lead
-Goucher then scored four goals in less than four minutes to take a 4-1 lead in the 23
rd minute. They scored in the 19
th minute, then got two goals just 38 seconds apart in the 22
nd minute, followed by a 23
rd minute goal to take the three-goal advantage
-The Macs did not go down quietly as junior
Jackie Wood carried it up the field and fed a pass to the far post where Donegan made an outstanding diving effort and knocked it into the cage to make it 4-2 at the break
-Goucher added a 44
th minute goal to make it 5-2
-The Macs had a goal wiped off the board by sophomore
Amanda Miller late in the game due to a foul
