IMMACULATA, Pa.- The IU field hockey team (2-4) hosted King's College on Saturday afternoon looking to put a halt to their three-game losing skid, but they were unable to take advantage of some early chances and fell 2-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Mighty Macs had some strong chances in the opening 10 minutes of the game, led by senior
Megan Donegan, but they were unable to get an early tally
-The Monarchs got the first goal of the game on a batted ball out of the air on a corner in the 31
st minute to take the lead
-The score stayed 1-0 into the second half when King's added a key insurance goal off a one-timer following a penalty corner to grow the lead to 2-0 which is where it would finish

-The Mighty Macs outshot the Monarchs 13-12, including nine on goal to just eight for King's
-The Macs had seven penalty corner opportunities to 10 for King's
-Donegan led the team with six shots total, three of them on goal while freshman
