ALLENTOWN, Pa.- The Mighty Mac women's soccer team (4-4-2) improved to 4-1 in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) on Tuesday afternoon with a convincing 5-0 victory over Cedar Crest (5-5, 1-3 CSAC) behind the offensive efforts of three freshmen.

Freshman
Carley Peacher recorded her third hat trick of the season and second straight while freshmen
Riley Rudd and
Miranda Rojas each added one goal and one assist. Sophomore
Isabella Romano made five saves in goal for the shutout victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Mighty Macs jumped on the scoreboard quickly in this one as Rudd fed a pass into the six and Peacher scored into the far right side of the cage for the 1-0 IU advantage just 2:22 into the game
-The score held until the 38
th minute when this time Rojas found Peacher who threaded a shot between defenders for her second of the day and 2-0 lead, which IU would have at the break
-In the 68
th minute, Rudd scored her sixth of the year to extend the lead to 3-0 and Peacher completed the hat trick in the 82
nd minute to give her a team-high 11 goals this season and a 4-0 IU advantage
-Rojas finished off the scoring in the 88
th minute with her third of the year to give the Macs the 5-0 victory
