COATESVILLE, Pa. – Immaculata University's women's cross country team was the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) runner-up at the 2017 CSAC Championship Saturday morning, October 28, at ChesLen Preserve. The Mighty Macs picked up 82 points in the event, led by Top 15 finishes by
Paula Barrett and
Emily Cardie.

This is the third runner-up finish for Immaculata in a conference championship. Immaculata most recently was CSAC runner-up at the 2015 championship, and had not finished that high in the standings since the 2000 PAC Championship race.

Barrett and Cardie was both honored on the All-CSAC Second Team for their finishes, and
Linda Carlson was selected to the CSAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

THE RUNDOWN

Paula Barrett was the Mighty Macs top runner in ninth place with a time of 27:59.4.

Emily Cardie turned in a 12th-place finish in a time of 28:23.6.

Caitlin MacGregor finished the course in a time of 29:11.0 for 18th place.

Mary Ellen Grap finished 20th with a clocking of 29:30.0.

Jacki D'Amico crossed the finish line in 29:49.5 for 23rd place, and
Mackenzie Greene had a time of 30:02.0 for 27th place.

Celsey Golato (30:40.7) and
Karalyn Sitch (30:50.3) placed 29th and 31st, respectively.

Linda Carlson (35:59.0) and
Hannah Baggott (36:08.8) were a close 56th and 57th place finishers, respectively.

Vanessa Sanchez Armenta (37:05.9) and
Amanda Hyde (42:29.0) rounded out the IU field in 63rd and 68th place, respectively.

IN THE FIELD
- Marywood took home its third CSAC title with 27 points.
- Following Immaculata, Keystone was third with 109 points.
- Cedar Crest's Angeline Biondo was the individual CSAC champion with a time of 24:51.5.
