IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata field hockey team (5-9) continued their impressive start to their Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) schedule on Tuesday afternoon at Draper Walsh Stadium as they fought off a tough Keystone (4-8, 1-2 CSAC) squad with a 4-2 victory to move to 3-0 in the CSAC, and notch their third straight win.

Megan Donegan had a big game as she recorded a hat trick, and assisted on the other goal scored by freshman
Brittany Richards.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Macs were looking for a fast start and got just that as freshman
Willa Thompson possessed deep in Keystone territory by the end line and she centered a pass to Donegan who found the back of the net for a 1-0 lead in the fourth minute
-On a penalty corner in the 12
th minute, it was Donegan in the middle of things again as she fired a shot that was saved by the keeper, but Richards was there on the door step to put it away and put IU in front 2-0
-The Macs padded their lead in the 22
nd minute when IU went on an odd man rush and senior
Nicole Dominick carried up the left side and passed it to Donegan who got there just before the goalie and put the Macs up 3-0 as she fell to the ground
-The Giants made it 3-1 heading into the locker room
-In the 44
th minute, the Macs converted a huge chance on a penalty corner as freshman
Shannon Lozier fired a pass from the top of the circle that Donegan deflected home for the 4-1 lead
-Keystone would add one more in the 51
st minute, but IU held on for their third straight victory
