IMMACULATA, Pa. - On Saturday afternoon, the Immaculata women's soccer team (4-8, 4-2 CSAC) had its three-game winning streak snapped by visiting Cabrini (6-5, 5-0 CSAC) as the Cavaliers defeated the Mighty Macs, 2-1.

In the first half, neither side dominated the possession as each team had its share of chances. The Cavaliers struck first when Alex Garces scored just three minutes into the contest giving Cabrini the 1-0 lead. IU goalie
Allie Tracey made three saves during the first half to help keep the Macs in the game.

The Macs had their share of chances in the first half but could convert any of them into goals. Immaculata thought it had netted the equalizer with less than three minutes remaining in the opening half of play, but the Mighty Macs were signaled for being offsides.

The Cavs extended their lead to 2-0 in the 52nd minute when Taylor Tralie score off a pass from Marisa Christensen. The Macs answered back in the 76th minute courtesy to a goal from
Courtney Stinger as she made the score 2-1.

The Macs ended the game outshooting the Cavs, 11-10, but it would not be enough to propel the Macs to victory.Â

Tracey ended the afternoon with five saves, and her Cabrini counterpart Gabby LeGendre made four saves.

The Macs next game is at home on Wednesday, Oct. 12th when they face off against Centenary at 4 p.m. Â
