TOWSON, Md. – Immaculata's volleyball team traveled to Goucher Wednesday night for a non-conference match, falling to the host Gophers, 3-1. Immaculata won the opening set (27-25), but Goucher took the match with wins of 27-25, 25-19 and 27-25 in the final sets.

Gabrielle Guerrera made a team-best 12 kills while adding 16 digs for her second career double-double.
Shelby Belk made 10 kills and four digs.
Arden Vizzard finished with seven kills and 16 digs.
Olivia Zdradzinski registered 29 assists and 16 digs for her double-double performance.
Molly Truitt finished with 14 digs, five assists and three service aces.

Immaculata (6-11) came back to win the first set despite starting off trailing Goucher 7-1. The Mighty Macs were behind, 13-7, when they went on an 8-1 run to take a one-point lead, 15-14. The Gophers regained the lead, and led 23-21 to force an IU timeout. The Mighty Macs came out of the huddle tying the set at 23-all. After the Macs evened the score at 25-all, Belk finished off the Gophers with two kills for the win.

The Mighty Macs played from behind in the second set to make it close at the end for the 27-25 edge by the Gophers (4-13).

It was an early battle in the third set before Immaculata was able to win five-straight points for the 17-14 edge. Goucher, however, was closed the set on an eight-point run for the come-from-behind win.

The fourth set was a back-and-forth affair but Immaculata did hold a 22-19 lead late in the set. Goucher won four-consecutive points to take a 23-22 edge, but Immaculata evened the score at 23-all. The Gophers would be the first to score both 24 and 25, but the Mighty Macs evened the set both times. Goucher would eventually finish the match winning the final two points.

Immaculata is back in league play Saturday hosting Gwynedd Mercy at 1 p.m.
