Field Hockey Falls At Delaware Valley, 3-1

Box Score

DOYLESTOWN, Pa.- The Immaculata field hockey team went on the road on Tuesday afternoon and dropped a non-conference game at Delaware Valley (6-8) by a score of 3-1.  The Mighty Macs will go back on the road for their fourth straight game on Thursday as they make a trip to DeSales.

Junior Megan Donegan scored her team-leading sixth goal of the season and senior Sarah Pasternak made an impressive 18 saves in the cage.

The Aggies scored in the eighth minute and would add another in the 34th minute to take a 2-0 lead into the locker room at half.

Delaware Valley added another goal just 50 seconds into the second half which gave them control of the contest.  The Macs got a spark in the 54th minute from Donegan when she got a breakaway, and despite being caught by the defense, she ripped the shot passed the keeper for her sixth of the season.

That would be the closest the Macs would get in a 3-1 defeat.
