Box Score READING, Pa.- The Immaculata field hockey team dropped their final non-conference game of the season on the road at Albright (9-5) on Wednesday afternoon by a score of 6-0.
The Mighty Macs (0-14) had a season-best effort from junior goalie
Sarah Pasternak who made 22 saves in the cage, and got a defensive save from sophomore
Cayla Williams and two more from junior
Megan Wheeler to give her a team-high 10 defensive saves on the year.
Brooke Robinson registered a shot for the Mighty Macs.
The Lions had a furious attack throughout the game and they cashed in early on with a goal in the 10
th minute, the first of three on the day by Amanda Smith.
They would add goals 47 seconds apart in the 25
th and 26
th minutes to give Albright a 3-0 lead at the break.
In the second half, the Lions would add two more goals within four minutes of the start of the second half and one more in the 55
th minute to get to the 6-0 final.
IU will host Neumann one week from today at 4 p.m. for Senior Day at Draper Walsh Stadium.
