Box Score IMMACULATA, Pa.-Immaculata women's soccer hosted Centenary in their third consecutive home game, and in a closely played contest, the Mighty Macs (0-8-0, 0-2-0 CSAC) fell to the Cyclones (3-5-0, 2-0-0 CSAC) by a count of 1-0.
 
The Mighty Macs played very well in the first half and generated a couple scoring chances as they attempted to jump out front.  Sophomore 
Carly Mirarchi received a perfect pass from freshman 
Nicole Catania, but she was stopped by the keeper.  Catania had a chance of her own, but her volley was also stopped by the goalie.
 
Defensively, senior 
Meghan McCurnin got the start in net and had a series of outstanding saves where she narrowly kept the ball out of the net to keep the game scoreless.
 
Centenary would break the scoreless tie in the 32
nd minute off a corner ball that was deflected into the back of the net for the 1-0 Cyclone lead.
 
In the second half, the Mighty Macs again applied pressure with a couple corner attempts a shots in the second half, but they were unable to net the equalizer in a tough one-goal loss.
 
IU had nine shots and McCurnin made nine saves.
 
Immaculata will now travel to Baptist Bible on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. CSAC match.
