Box Score IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata field hockey team hosted Stevenson on Wednesday night at Draper Walsh Stadium, and the Mighty Macs (3-6) fell in a tight 2-1 battle to the Mustangs (6-3).

In the defeat, sophomore goalie
Sarah Pasternak established a new career-high in saves with 20 and senior
Ashley O'Donnell netted her eighth goal of the season, tops on the team. Freshman
Cayla Williams also tallied a defensive save.

Stevenson started fast with an offensive barrage early, and they cashed in just three minutes in on a goal off a rebound to quickly make it 1-0. The Mighty Macs would play stout defense to keep them from extending their lead for much of the half.

Immaculata cashed in on their opportunity in the 21
st minute when O'Donnell weaved her way through the defense and beat the Stevenson keeper to tie the game at 1-1 midway through the half.

However, Stevenson would grab the lead back in the 33
rd minute as they collected a loose ball in front of the net and beat Pasternak for the goal and a 2-1 Stevenson lead at the break.

Immaculata would increase the offensive pressure in the second half with eight shots and five penalty corners, but they were unable to net the equalizer.

Immaculata will play their first Colonial States Athletic Conference match of the season on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. when they host Cedar Crest at Draper Walsh Stadium.
