Box Score GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa.- The Immaculata field hockey team (6-11, 2-3 CSAC) looked to snap their two-game losing skid with a road contest at Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) leader Gwynedd Mercy (12-3, 5-0 CSAC), but the Griffins proved to be too much in a 4-2 loss for the Mighty Macs.

Seniors
Tiffany Lockfeld and
Lindsay Cras provided the goals on offense, while freshman
Cayla Williams and senior
Lynda Sheets each had defensive saves. The defensive save by Sheets gave her seven for the season, the most in a single season in Immaculata history.

Sophomore goalie
Sarah Pasternak played the whole game in net and made 11 saves.

Gwynedd Mercy notched the first goal in the 16
th minute, but Lockfeld tied the game in the 19
th minute on a goal from right in front of the cage after an assist from junior
Patsy Murphy.

Gwynedd's Melissa Russo then responded with two goals in a 41 second span to give the Griffins a 3-1 lead with 15 minutes to go in the first half. The score would stay there for the rest of the first half.

The Mighty Macs showed some fight in the 42
nd minute as Cras scored her third goal in four games to cut the deficit in half at 3-2. However, Gwynedd would add a goal in the 49
th minute that proved to be too much to overcome in the 4-2 decision.

Immaculata will return back to Draper Walsh Stadium for their final two games, starting with Cabrini on Saturday at 1 p.m.
