Box Score IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata field hockey team (6-9) hosted No. 6 Franklin & Marshall on a rainy Wednesday afternoon at Draper Walsh Stadium, and the visiting Diplomats (12-1) defeated the Mighty Macs 5-0 in their final non-conference game of the season.
Immaculata senior defender
Lynda Sheets tied the Immaculata single season record with six total defensive saves in 2014 after collecting two more in this game. Senior
Danielle Lopez also recorded a defensive save.
In net, sophomore
Christine McIntyre got the start and made 12 saves in a little more than a half of play. Sophomore
Sarah Pasternak didn't allow a goal in the final thirty minutes of the game while making seven saves, including one on a penalty stroke.
Offensively,
Ashley O'Donnell had three of the four Immaculata shots.
The Diplomats scored three first half goals, with one in the 12
th, 13
th, and 35
th minutes to take a 3-0 lead at the half. F&M would add goals in the 37
th and 40
th minutes to get the final to 5-0.
Immaculata will go back into CSAC play on Saturday when they host Marywood at 1 p.m.
