Box Score CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa.- The Immaculata women's soccer team earned their first victory of the season in come-from-behind fashion as they erased a 1-0 halftime deficit at Baptist Bible (1-7, 0-2 CSAC) with two second-half goals to claim a 2-1 victory, their first of the season.

Erica Buckley netted her first goal of the season and senior
Sam Bonvetti scored the game-winner, the first of her career, to lift the Mighty Macs (1-8, 1-2 CSAC) to the pivotal conference victory.

Elizabeth McBride (1-3) played the second half in net and earned the win with six saves.

Immaculata dominated for much of the day, outshooting the Defenders 26-14 with 21 of those shots on net.Â

The Mighty Macs applied heavy offensive pressure in the opening half as they piled up 16 of their 26 shots, but they were unable to beat Katelyn King, who had 19 saves on the afternoon. Baptist Bible ended up scoring the first goal of the game less than three minutes in as Emily Howell converted a penalty kick that gave the Defenders a 1-0 lead, which is where the score stood at the half.

Forty six seconds into the second half, facing a deficit, Buckley took a pass from freshman
Rachel Fanrak and popped it over top of the keeper and into the cage to tie the game.

The Mighty Macs would continue to pressure and Bonvetti eventually broke through with the game-winner in the 65
th minute. She settled a deflected ball in the box and put it past King to put IU in front, 2-1.

McBride ensured that the lead would hold with six second half saves and Immaculata claimed the CSAC victory.

Immaculata will look to make it two in a row on Saturday when they host Cabrini at 1 p.m. at Draper Walsh Stadium.Â
