Field Hockey Falls 5-1 At Stevenson

Box Score

OWINGS MILLS, Md.- The Immaculata field hockey team was looking to bounce back from an early week loss, but after trailing just 2-1 at the half, Stevenson (6-4) scored three second half goals on their way to a 5-1 non-conference win.  Junior Ashley O'Donnell knocked in her second goal of the season for the Mighty Macs (2-6) in defeat.

Stevenson scored the first two goals of the game past freshman goalie Sarah Pasternak in the first twenty minutes, but O'Donnell scored from the right side with a shot to the lower left part of the net to cut the deficit to 2-1.  That's the way it would stay until halftime.

In the second half, Alison Kagel of Stevenson scored two goals within two minutes to make it 4-1 with less than 30 minutes left in the game.  They would add one more to get to the final of 5-1.  Freshman Christine McIntyre played the second half and made five saves.

The field hockey team will play another non-conference game on Saturday when they travel to Franklin & Marshall for a noon start.
