IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata women's soccer team netted four first half goals and cruised in the second half of a 4-0 victory over Notre Dame (2-5, 0-2 CSAC), their second consecutive CSAC win. The Mighty Macs (3-6, 2-0 CSAC) got two goals from junior
Rachel Gannon, and one apiece from senior
Amanda Markie and freshman
Shelby Clare.
Gannon wasted little time in getting Immaculata the lead as she scored her team-leading fourth goal of the season just 2:45 into the game. On a corner kick, Clare sent a ball into the box that took one bounce and Gannon headed it over top of the keeper's head for the 1-0 lead. The assist was Clare's third in the last two games.
The offense kept coming for IU as Gannon scored her second goal of the game and fifth of the season in the 15
th minute after taking a deflected pass from freshman
Rachel Lamb and finding the back of the net.
Clare would score the first goal of her career and collect her third point of the day in the 21
st minute as she lofted a shot from 30 yards out that beat the goalie for a 3-0 Immaculata advantage. Freshman
Paulina Rucci had her first career assist on the goal.
Immaculata would convert one more time before the end of the first half to make it two consecutive halves with four goals going back to Saturday's victory over Baptist Bible. Junior
Barbara Stanley hit a shot that deflected off the crossbar and Markie was there for the rebound as she headed it in for the third goal of her career. The assist was Stanley's second in her career and first since 2011.

Meghan McCurnin and sophomore
Elizabeth McBride combined on the shutout.
The Mighty Macs will now have off until next Wednesday when they travel to Neumann for a 7 p.m. start.
