IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata field hockey team (5-8, 3-0 CSAC) won their third straight conference match to continue their unbeaten start in CSAC play with a 2-0 triumph over Keystone (2-11, 0-3 CSAC) on Tuesday night at Draper Walsh Stadium. Senior

Patsy Murphy were the goal scorers, while junior Ashley O'Donnell dished out a pair of assists.

Tiffany Lockfeld put the ball in off the corner attempt, where junior Ashley O'Donnell settled the pass and fed it to the right wing where Byrne ripped a shot that beat the keeper for the 1-0 Mighty Mac lead in the 21
st minute. The goal was Byrne's fourth of the season.
Both teams continued to play tough into the start of the second half with neither side bending. Freshman goalie
Sarah Pasternak (nine saves) played well as the Immaculata defense was tough in front of her.
The Mighty Macs broke through for an important insurance goal with 15:04 remaining in the game to get themselves a two-goal lead. O'Donnell raced down the right side and sent a hard pass into the middle where Murphy was waiting to deflect the ball into the back of the cage for a 2-0 lead. The goal was Murphy's team-leading eighth of the season and O'Donnell dished out her team-best fifth assist.
The Immaculata defense continued to hold as the Mighty Macs wrapped up their second shutout victory of 2013 and the first of Pasternak's young career.
The Mighty Macs will move back into non-conference play for the final time this season on Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. as they host Delaware Valley looking for their fourth straight win. Immaculata hopes to move to 4-0 in CSAC play on Saturday when they travel to Marywood.
