Immaculata Tripped Up By Moravian

BETHLEHEM, Pa.
– Immaculata University scored two late goals but it was not enough to overcome Moravian College in non-conference field hockey action on Saturday afternoon at Lehigh University's Ulrich Turf Field.
 
The host Greyhounds scored four goals in the first half and added three more tallies during the first 20 minutes of the second half.
 
Immaculata scored its first goal of the afternoon at the 57:38 mark in the game as Meaghan Kirk scored unassisted. Ashley O'Donnell scored the Mighty Macs' second tally of the day in the 62nd minute and Lindsay Cras had the assist.
 
Immaculata goalkeeper Patsy Murphy made five saves in the loss. Moravian goalkeeper Catherine Gottlieb started and played the first 58 minutes allowing one goal and making one stop. Andrea Eck played the final 12 minutes for the Greyhounds, giving up the Mighty Macs' final goal.
 
Moravian captured the 7-2 win to improve to 2-1 this season. Immaculata slips to 0-3.

Immaculata returns to the confines of Draper Walsh Stadium for a game under the lights on Wednesday, Sept. 12, hosting Franklin & Marshall at 7 p.m.
