IMMACULATA, Pa. – Cedar Crest College defeated Immaculata University by a score of 2-0 in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) field hockey action Saturday afternoon at Draper Walsh Stadium.
Both squads played a scoreless first half before the visiting Falcons were able to break through in the 48th minute as Emily Rodenberger scored on a long pass from Lauren Salge.
Cedar Crest added an insurance goal with less than five minutes remaining in the contest as Erin Studer scored unassisted.
Cedar Crest held a slight 12-8 lead in shots while Immaculata held the 11-8 edge in penalty corners.

Patsy Murphy made nine saves, while Cedar Crest goalie Lindsay Harrison recorded four stops in the win.
Immaculata falls to 0-9, 0-2 in the CSAC, and Cedar Crest improves to 4-5, 1-1 CSAC.
Immaculata plays at DeSales on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at 4 p.m. in non-conference action.
