Immaculata Drops Non-Conference Match Against Wilson

BOX SCORE

IMMACULATA, Pa.-
The Mighty Macs played host to Wilson College in a non-conference matchup Tuesday afternoon at Draper Walsh Stadium, and Wilson came away with the 3-0 road victory.  The Mighty Macs fell to 1-12 on the season.

Katie Omori got Wilson on the board in the 20th minute on a pass across the goal mouth from Hillary Swartz that slipped past goalie Danielle Lopez.  That goal was Omori's third of the year and it came on Swartz's team-leading eighth assist.

Immaculata's best chance came a few minutes after the Phoenix goal when Ashley O'Donnell slipped behind the defense and managed to get the ball behind the keeper Gina Weigold, but  her diving attempt to slap the ball in the net came up just short as Wilson held onto their 1-0 lead at the break.

Immaculata started the second half fast when Tiffany Lockfeld had a good scoring opportunity, but Weigold was there to stop the shot to preserve the advantage.

The Phoenix added to their lead in the 45th minute off a corner play.  Anna Gilbert blocked an initial shot, but Megan Schneck got the deflection and found the back of the net for the second Wilson goal of the day.

In the 63rd minute, Wilson sealed the game when Swartz tallied her sixth goal of the season on a feed from Brittney Murphy to give the Phoenix the three goal advantage.

Danielle Lopez got her second start of the season in relief of the injured Patsy Murphy and played well again.  She added seven more saves on ten shots.

Immaculata tallied four shots of their own with three coming from O'Donnell.

The Mighty Macs will move back into CSAC play this Thursday when they travel to Gwynedd-Mercy for a 4 p.m. conference start.
