Cabrini Hands Field Hockey 1-0 Defeat

Cabrini scored midway through the first half, and despite its best efforts, Immaculata was unable to score the equalizer, as the Mighty Macs fell to host Cabrini, 1-0, on Wednesday afternoon.

Cabrini remains unbeaten in Colonial States Athletic Conference play, improving to 2-0 in the league and 4-3 overall. Immaculata falls to 2-6 overall and 1-1 in the CSAC.

Lauren Alessi put the Cavaliers ahead 1-0 in the 26th minute, and Cabrini was able to hold  off the Mighty Macs the rest of way.

The Immaculata offense posted two shots compared to Cabrini's seven shots, and was held to just two during the second half.

Immaculata goalkeeper Natalie Slezak finished with four saves in the loss. Cabrini goalkeeper Genevieve Paulin made four saves to preserve the shutout.

Immaculata  hosts Neumann University in Colonial States Athletic Conference action on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m.
